About the Festival.
The Riverland Rose and Garden Festival is the perfect opportunity for the Riverland to come together annually, to celebrate our beautiful region and showcase the area to the rest of South Australia and beyond.
2024 will see The Festival celebrate its 30th Anniversary, with Special Guest Sophie Thomson officially opening the festival. Held over 10 days, there will be ample opportunity to visit many Open Gardens, Events and Attractions.
A number of our regular and popular components are going ahead this year. Including,
- Open Gardens across the Riverland.
- The Waikerie Flower Show.
- Gala Dinner.
- Festival Fair and Renmark Institute display.
We want to thank all our gardeners, for their help in creating such a special community event.
And encourage visitors to explore the gardens outlined in our annual program.
We promise you won’t be disappointed, with gardeners from all across the Riverland generously offering to showcase their wonderful gardens. Their passion and love for all things gardening will be obvious when you take the opportunity to meander through their gorgeous properties.

The Past Festivals
Each year the Rose Festival Committee is committed to looking at new and exciting initiatives to complement the existing festival’s events and activities. The festival has a constantly changing array of open gardens to enjoy, spread out over numerous towns throughout the Riverland. With this in mind, we hope to keep the Riverland Rose and Garden Festival as fresh and vibrant as our wonderful roses.
The Riverland’s township’s rose gardens provide a spectacular backdrop throughout the festival and are immaculately presented.
The Riverland Rose and Garden Festival celebrates the region and its communities.
